Bayview Grille in Frankfort

I've been here twice and both times the food was so good.

Upon arrival we were most graciously greeted by Nick the owner who made us feel right at home. Even though they were super busy, they made room for us and everyone else waiting. The food was amazing, the drinks were fantastic and the service was top notch. The cleanliness and attention to detail was noticeable and very appreciated. You’re missing out if you don’t make a trip to Birch and Maple during your time in Frankfort! You won’t be disappointed if you order the ribs. Plus, if you come during 5-6 pm, all the small plates are half off!!

The Nagroni had me nostalgic. The charchuterie made my mouth water and the burger was what I was dreaming of.

We arrived in time for happy hour appetizers and they were fantastic! Tasty, fresh and beautiful. We ordered one of each and had no disappointment! The service was very good; our waitress was friendly and professional.

The attention was good, very neat place. Came in a group of 7 and food came out relatively fast! Personally, I didn’t have a great experience because it does not offer big vegan plates. There were only like 2 salads that fit my needs. Besides that, everybody else had an awesome meal, very tasty! Don’t split the large plates because it doesn’t come much food in them.

I was a little skeptical of the prices, but worth every penny! Came here for a bachelor party and was served an amazing 3 course meal. Chef Natalie even came out to talk to us after.

Amazing experience at this clean and very cozy restaurant. Nick and Natalie (chef) are amazing, but above all, every bite of food was delicious. Make sure to ask for the dynamite sauce (incredible)! The food ingredients were top quality, and although we have eaten great breakfasts around the world, this one ranks among the best ever. Thank you Birch and Maple for a great experience!

Amazing food and service! We came during peak 4th of July season and couldn't be happier with the attentiveness of our waiter and the rest of the staff!We had the Mediterranean salads, fish tacos, and ribs. Everything was delicious and just the right amount of food!I would highly recommend this establishment for a great night in Frankfort!

This was our first time (first time in the Frankfort, also) and this place was such a gem. It was quiet, pleasant atmosphere, and very delicious! Loved the specials, loved the server. LOVED the coffee. You can tell how much they value their local sources, too.

Birch & Maple has the best breakfast and cocktail program in Frankfort. Located a couple blocks from downtown, their enclosed porch has great views of the Betsie Bay. Start your day with breakfast and a pitcher of mimsoas. The maple banana bread pudding will blow your mind. Or if you are feeling southern get some chicken and waffles... because chicken and waffles.End your day with craft cocktails and if your feeling hungry get something to eat; it's all spectacular.

Very nice, cozy atmosphere inside. Patio dining less attractive, but nice to sit outdoors in the summer. Service is 10 stars. .. above and beyond exceptional. Breakfast was high priced, but food was great and came in ample portions.

We stumbled upon this place during our stay in Frankfort. It isn’t in the heart of downtown, but it is within walking distance. I must say that it was one of the most fun, flavorful excellent meals we have had in a very long time. The ribs were excellent and so was the pork belly tostada. Made with real and different ingredients- not just an over salted plate with no flavor. Also- the cocktails were amazing. You can definitely tell that they are hand crafted with real ingredients and not just poured from a bottle into a glass (we tried the sangria and had an old fashioned). Prices are also quite reasonable especially for the excellent quality. I will definitely be return customer if I am in the area again!

Nice environment and good service but menu is very limited, unique, and way overpriced. Most expensive breakfast we've ever had and the food was just meh.

Inviting atmosphere, interesting menu choices, nice presentation. The Croque Monsieur quality was excellent, could have used a bit more sauce. 4.5 stars.

Very nicely remodeled since the last time I was here. The breakfast we had was good and the wait staff was attentive.

Excellent breakfast, environment and even a view of the harbor. Servers and staff were very friendly and attentive. Peak summer vacation times - food came out fast and seasoned great. Both kids meals were presented just as nicely as the adult meals. We had waffles, bacon and eggs and a breakfast sandwich. Coffee was hot and also very tasty. All around wonderful summer morning experience.

Excellent service, BIG portions for your money, and breakfast was great!! Atmosphere was very comfortable, with the front porch facing the harbor, wife and I enjoyed it.

Had a short rib Benedict. Looked and tasted better than anything I've ever had. Super cute place. Friendly staff. One of the chefs even brought my food to me. Can't wait to go try their cocktails!

Wonderful restaurant! Our favorite in the extended Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Customer service was outstanding (thanks, Morgan!), as was the food!! The owner (Nick) seated us, and his wife is the amazing master chef. We ordered omelettes and also the bread pudding. Yum!!!! The decor inside was charming—very nice (love the birch and maple theme!), and the ambiance (especially inside) was great!! We will be back the next time we are remotely close to Frankfort!!!

Wonderful dinner menu ... portobello fries were terrific and pork loin and duck breast was just perfect with sweet cabbage with bacon. A wonderful anniversary dinner 😍

The Portabella truffle fries are absolutely amazing! Actually, everything is absolutely amazing! The ambience, the service and the food!

Get ready to wait to get a table, so worth the wait. We got the fish tacos and meat lovers omelette and they both ranked high on our list as one of the best. Almost as good as the music they played and the service. 👍👍

Super cute restaurant with delicious food! The atmosphere is really cool! I stopped in for breakfast and ordered a veggie omelette, it was amazing. They also have homemade preserves. Today they had strawberry and it was soo good. Most restaurants ask me and my partner if the bill is together or separate. This was one of the only restaurants who didn’t ask us this and just handed us the bill. Very appreciative of this progressive restaurant.

There was a wait. Which is expected because it's worth it! But there was an adorable antique store next door that we walked around. The food was amazing and the bloody mary was a meal in itself! Will definitely be back!!

Just exactly the something new that Frankfort needed! I’ve now had lunch a couple of times as well as breakfast and every meal has been fantastic. Great staff with a vibe to match.

Excellent burger, nice atmosphere. Even tho there was a mix up in our order, their customer service was fantastic. They corrected the mistake, apologized, and gave us free dessert.

This is easily the best restaurant in Frankfurt, and probably in northwest Michigan. Amazing food, cocktails and service. I would eat here for every meal if we come back to town. Thank you so much!

Stopped in with a friend for lunch while we're are road tripping M22. I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is really cute. We sat on the patio and had a great view. The service was excellent. Attentive, but not over bearing. We both had the Croque Monsieur and it was delicious! This is the place to stop for a perfect me.

Celebrated our anniversary here! We had amazing food and wonderful service! Nick and Jake were so great! We'll be back!

We arrived just at closing and they were kind enough to seat and feed us. Excellent food, worth the price. Very nice atmosphere, good service......good experience.

Very friendly staff, family atmosphere & good food. They now take reservations, a rarity in Frankfort. Dining is both indoors and semi-outside in an enclosed patio. The beer selection is somewhat limited, but they do offer a couple of unique cocktails which were very good. The calamari appetizer was well fried and served with a slightly sweet topping. I had some terrific fish tacos, while two members of our party had the crispy skin salmon. Our waitress was very friendly and attention, and the manager was helpful and also attentive. I highly recommend Birch and Maple.

My friend and I stopped here on our way back to Grand Rapids. Very impressed with the friendly owner and loved the style of the restaurant. Very good food! I've already told some friends about it that travel thru that area. For sure I'll be going back next time I'm up there.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Birch and Maple a couple days ago, we sat at the bar with Jackson, who was a lot of fun. I had the best ribs I’ve had in a long time and my husband had panned seared shrimp with rice noodles, not to mention the Swedge was fantastic. They are following all the safety protocols put in place. We highly recommend you support this quaint place with a view.

Gluten Free ! Breakfast sandwich frittata was very very tasty, I got the swiss with bacon and their special sauce was excellent. Potatoes on the side. Excellent service also...

Just had a to go meal for two, it was very tasty and had extra care in cooking. Will be back soon.
